The Yorkshire Terrier is a small-toy breed. Adult Yorkies should not weigh over 7 lbs. There are NO teacup yorkies, this is just a sales pitch term, they are small dogs, some smaller than others. Yorkies do not have fur they have hair like ours, they do not shed at all and do not leave dander, they are good for people with allergies.
Take your time with your purchase of a puppy. When you visit the breeder make sure you see at least one of the parents if not both and the litter if possible. Consider the warranty offered there should be one. Have the puppy checked out by your vet. as soon as possible.
